Bad Decision, Bad Relationship
I chose these two websites because they discuss topics such as "socialization and how to develop successful relationships". My first website, How To Attract The Right People Into Your Life by Stephenie Zomora talks about the importance of one's identity in order to be successful socializing with others. Moreover, she also pointed out that being honest and embracing our true identity leads us to meet the right people, because the people who will socialize with us will be those who accept our identity. Similarly, my second website, When Does Socializing Make You Happier?, by Susan Cain, discusses the importance of being an introverted person. Susan Cain named some good and bad aspects about being an introvert and how this defines one's social interaction. Finally, I chose these websites because their titles, images, and their offerings to other sites related to their topics captured my attention.
How to Attract the Right People into Your Life The Stephenie Zamora website"Hot to Attract the Right People Into Your Life" is designed to educate people who have difficulties socializing with the right people. The purpose of this website is to teach people some important and effective ways of socialization in order to attract the right person or persons for a relationship. In addition, this website highlights that self-identification usually shape a relationship between people; however, self- identification sometimes leads to unsuccessful relationships because some people try to fake an identity in order to be accepted by a group or groups. This website works explicitly to educate those who often fail in relationships, and it does it very well by identifying the problems and the solutions to the problems.
This website provides its information primary to those people who have difficulties developing stable and pleasing relationships. However, this site also informs those who are successful in their relationships that self- identification is the most important basis for any social socialization; because it’s self –identification that reveals one’s interests, goals, and beliefs. This website communicates its contents to the intended audience or group not only submitting the information like most websites do, because this particular site demands its audience to respond to several polar questions. In fact, this allows the audience to engage in the context and have a better understanding of all the information submitted. Throughout this website, logos play a substantial role in its provision of contents because it persuades its intended audience or those with issues in developing successful relationships with the right people or with people who have different interests; this website does it by providing factual and reliable evidence to demonstrate the real issue in terms of socialization. This website only uses a simple picture to capture the attention of the intended audience. In addition, the color package of this website is white and I believe that they used this color to reflect the theme of this site “self identification, self honesty, and self authentication” Language is also an important component of canalization of information between the author and the audience; it determines the effectiveness of the content and the message of this website. In fact, the use of language in this website refines how the message is transmitted and also how the message is received by the audience. The users of this website can be anybody. However, it is evident that people who need help in defining who they really are and those who look forward to a relationship are those who might use this website. I think people who navigate to this site might read the entire text before submitting any comment. And I am absolutely sure that people read everything because the title expresses a strong and provocative massage. In addition, this website offers other related sites that highlight values, one’s potential, and the power of people to change their future. I liked this website because the title of this site really captures its audience’s attention and makes them read the entire text. Another thing I really liked about this website is all about how the author uses her intended audience to be part of the website by demanding them to answer a few polar questions. |
When Does Socializing Make You Happier? The Susan Clain website " The Quiet Revolution's" purpose is to inform its readers about the importance of socialization in one’s happiness. This site discusses how and why social interaction is essential to people’s social development and mostly to people who are introverted. This website educates people who are introverts, people who have difficulties socializing with other group or groups. This site also educates its audience by listing the advantages and disadvantages of socialization; in fact, this website named more advantages that people encounter when they are better engaged in social interaction “socialization.”
This site is selling a book written by the author of the site “Quiet”. This item is sold by this website using the same content on the site by giving some basic information about the importance of socialization and the advantages and disadvantages of being an introvert. In addition, this site sells this item to those who are interested to know more about the impact of socialization in one’s happiness. This website doesn't recruit people to volunteer for a project or others social or political causes. Nevertheless, this site informed me about issues related to one’s social involvement in a society. This website communicates its purpose to the targeted audience by clarifying why being an introvert person has more disadvantages than the advantages. Moreover, the author of this site is not formulating any stereotype against the introverted community because he also pointed out the benefits of being an introverted person. And the author accomplished her objective through the use of logos; he cited two scholars to deliver the message of his website. There is only a picture on this website, and it describes most of the content and purpose of this site. For instance, this picture shows happy people in a restaurant socializing with their friends and also sad people who are not socializing with anyone. This picture shows most of the website content; because, this picture shows that being alone is more likely to cause sadness or depression. The color package of this website is white and grey and I think these colors are not used specifically to deliver the purpose of this website to its audience. Furthermore, the author sounds very supportive toward people who are introverted or those who are extroverted. The author uses a simple language to transmit the message of her site, and she did it very well by providing basic definition followed by well detailed examples. I think the users for this website are those who are having difficulties socializing with others or those who look forward to improving their social interaction. In fact, this website is designed for everybody because it allows the users to connect to other social networking sites where people can meet new people and sites that allow its users to learn more about socializing. I liked this website because it contains some useful information that teaches people how to socialize with others. I also liked this website because it provides many examples related to the topic which makes its audience more receptive to the content of the site. |
These websites enhanced my knowledge about website design because it taught me how to use textual and visual elements to canalize the message or purpose to an intended group or groups. Furthermore, these two websites taught me that the amount of text on a website does not determine the impact on its audience because what's make a website so successful depends on the author's creativity in delivering the message. These websites taught me that the use of colors and other visual elements should be utilized to carry the purpose of the site. Finally, the use of logos, images, colors, and the structure of titles and subtitles are the basis in any successful websites, and this is something that I will keep in mind.
